Agreed. I am guessing by your age that you joined before we could come to that conclusion.
I believe he said he was active, so I wanted to understand why he joined or is staying in if he thinks we are just "shitting on people's lives".

No, no worries, good question. I joined because 1 I didn't believe that when I joined. 2 I love this country and am proud to serve her, despite not being perfect. 3, I get to do a pretty rad job, and 4, even though I believe what I do now, the whole situation is ****ed and extremely complicated. I think we are responsible, through history, for a lot of the things that we're seeing now. But that doesn't mean that I don't see there being a valid threat out there or not seeing a military option with dealing with that threat.

that's what i'm trying to say, i think we all agree there is a problem (in different degrees and with different perspectives) but how does this problem get rectified? closing doors isn't the answer, and neither is internment camps, or anything of the like. we can all shout from the rooftops that there is an issue and that we can all see it, but how does the issue get handled?
interviews cost money. shutting down borders, well we all know how well that works today, especially us Texans. deportation, well that's a joke as well. NSA, interpol, the FBI? any other ideas???????
the attacks were TERRIBLE and HORRIFIC but all the refugees are NOT responsible.

[MENTION=65101]BrianSD_42[/MENTION] as much as you say our borders are secure, they are not. they are MORE secure than many other borders around the world, but they are not wholly secure. If people want to sneak in i think they can do it with relative ease. Bad guys don't typically go through the proper channels to do things, so they likely wouldn't be the ones sitting in interviews with the state department, and we all saw how well those interviews worked with the san bernadino shooters.... wait they didn't...
and i agree that we shouldn't be opening our doors to millions of undocumented unknown people, that' not at all what i am saying. i also agree the current status of security is better than a back door around the security, but it still is a far cry from secure.
im really just trying to point out that not all these people are bad or the problem and they are all getting labeled as such.

sometimes thats what you have to do to keep yourself safe.
when im on my street bike, I know that not every ******* on the road is trying to kill me. but I do ride in such a way as if they were. its what keeps me alive for when that ONE person does try, im prepared for it.

I understand that all refugees are not the bad guys, but how do you weed them out? If the bad guys tell the good guys, if you tell anyone i will rape and kill your children and make you watch. How many would come forward? Most americans can not comprehend the tactics of the bad guys. So do we just accept them and fight them when they show force? They are using our very system against us, and they are winning. I watched an Isis video that they are telling their followers to go to our schools, become lawers, become doctors, become politicians to defeat us from within. I know i go off on a rant now and then but hey, i'm old. When i was in Vietnam in 67-68 we had Vietnamese working at our base camps, i did not understand that, but some buddies quickly informed me that these were the good guys. One of these buddies died from a booby trapped grenade the next day ln our own damn compound. Just sayin.
