Sun visor warning stickers

Same I did on a different vehicle, but 4runner looks the exact same type of label. the alchohol soaked papertowel let is sit for 10 minutes and it comes right off

I have heard of Goof Off working too. Same method of soak and peel.

I just dropped my snickers bar in my chili bowel - thankfully I had ate the chili first so only residual needed to be removed but still :mad2: This thread now made it a great day.

So I think there are two options you have:
1). Swap the passenger and driver visors and the stickers will be facing the ceiling (only downside is the occasional use of the mirror which requires you to turn the visor to the window to it). Or;
2). Go to eBay and buy some of the novelty stickers that fit over the factory ones. Funny but still an eyesore.

Either I'm too impatient or the visor airbag stickers are applied much more strongly now (2019 5th gen 4Runner). I tried 95% isopropyl alcohol soaking for 1 hour, heat gun, and combination. The best was the alcohol alone + rubbing method but it seemed to work only in patches. Eventually I decided to go nuclear since they weren't coming off.

Hairdryer did nothing.

The heatgun didn't seem to have a sweet spot inbetween doing nothing and melting the incredibly thin plastic/rubber sticker into the threads. That's where all of the real damage was done.

I also removed the silly plastic sleaves. These are physically melted very strongly into the cloth so the alcohol won't help you here. I used a heatgun but I'm not sure it helped.

Eventually I gave up and bought adhesive felt pads off of Amazon to cover. (Southeastern Felt 9" X 12" Adhesive Backed Felt, Grey, Pack of 5). It's slightly lighter grey, but the texture matches the ceiling very closely so definitely an improvement over those garbage stickers.

Let me know if someone manages to remove the latest stickers.

I'm glad you like them, because I think the stickers look better - but that's just me...
