Sunroof draining near front wheel wells...

Is this normal for a 1998?

I have a stained headliner, and assumed the drains were blocked. So I just poured some water in the sunroof channel, and it quickly drained, but came out somewhere near the front wheels wells... hard to tell exactly where the exit points are.

I thought the exit points were supposed to be near the rear of the 4Runner.

I'm afraid that maybe the drain lines are damaged, and the water is finding the quickest, straightest way down.

By the way... what are those drain lines? Are they rubber? Do they ever come loose or crack?

Anybody have a picture with the headliner down?

I'm also wondering if there could possibly be a leak along the top of the original windshield. Has anybody ever had a leaking windshield cause headliner stains?

There are 4 drains on mine, one on each corner. Tubes run down the A pillars (back of front wheel well) and B pillars (between front/rear doors). One of mine had come loose when I pulled my headliner. They were clear plastic tubing

Yes that's normal, the fronts drain into the front fender down where a mud flap would attach too. As far as the rear drain plugs I have no idea

I poured some water in the trough of the sunroof, and used a piece of string trimmer/weedeater line to make sure the drains were clear.

front is 100% normal. dont worry, it actually drains in the door hinges. open up the doors and look in between the crack on the inside you might be able to see the end of the hose. its right there.
