sunroof going bad?

so last night i tried to open my sunroof and when i pushed the button (which is usually automatic) it paused then started to open but when i let go of the button the sunroof stopped. i called the warranty company to see if it was under warranty because of course im going to try to fix it for free before i spend my money lol but of course...its not. so my new question is..does anyone know wat the problem might be..how much $$$ its going to cost me and if you know where i could get the best cheap parts...cuz i can install myself....THANKZ!!!!

Does it close even when you keep the button pressed? If so, you are fine. It somehow "unconfigured" itself. Read this to reset it and you should be fine.

cool! Yeah, 1st time it happened to me my heart stopped. Then of course, I disconnected the battery for something and I knew it was power related! Also, when you drive with the sunroof open, notice the wind baffle (black plastic piece that pops upward when you open it) go up and down electrically as you speed up or slow down.... it's automatic, pretty cool. Didn't notice it till I read about it here. Good Luck!
