Sunroof motor working after sunroof is already open?

Sunroof opens/closes fine. Issue is when the sunroof is already open, occasionally the sunroof motor will make a sound, like it's trying to do something, clicks on and off. Sunroof stays open (as it should), anyone else have this happen to them or know what might cause it?

is it happening at higher speeds?

im not sure if you're aware, but at 55-60mph(I cant remember exactly) the air deflector will change positions to help with air flow, and I believe noise. it makes a definite sound when this happens.

also when slowing down, it adjusts again at about 45mph.

if you're experiencing it at lower speeds than that, its likely something else.

Well I feel stupid! But it's a happy-stupid knowing that it's working as intended. Yes, it does it at higher speeds and when slowing down from getting off the highway.. I had absolutely no idea it did that.

You're not alone my friend. We both learned something new today (although I never really noticed this ; i'm hearing impaired with significant hearing loss so noise is not too big of a factor for me) !
