sunroof wiring harness... unused connector?

Hi all,

I've noticed that theres a gray unused connector by my kick panel on the driver side. I've been meaning to ask about it, but haven't. Last night I took my headliner out and the wiring harness from the headliner is actually where that gray unused connector is. It has 4 terminals. The other connector is the main power connector that hooks up to the fuse box.

Now if it wasn't plugged into anything, it probably doesn't matter, right? Maybe. I took my headliner out a few months ago to install some sound deadening material and perhaps I unclipped this plug and forgot to plug it back in. To my knowledge, everything works that is supposed to.

If my memory serves me that's for a brake controller.
