Just got my 07 4runner and pardon if this is redundant question, but do I understand from reading previous posts that the sunroof motor I hear coming on while driving down the road is normal?? There is nothing like jumping out of your skin when this startles me. No one at Toyota ever warned me of this "normal operation". I had the sunroof deflector installed to reduce wind noise, so I don't understand exactly what the this function is for. I would really appreciate feedback. Thanks,

I think the noise is normal, but at highway speeds.

When the moon roof is opened fully, the deflector will raise to reduce the entering of the strong wind. The angle of the deflector will be adjusted according to the vehicle speed.
