Sunset with a 4runner

Went on a sunset shoot today, but it wasn't that great, so I made my 4 week old truck a primary camera target.

I like the angle of the first one the best, yet I think it's a bit dark

The idea was to create outlines and reflections. Besides if i were to expose it brighter, I'd blow the sky, making it white and washed out.

I like the first the best, for capturing the 4runner. Pic three just doesn't do anything for me. I love the way the sky was captured in pic two, yet I find the 4runner a bit distracting in the pic.

either way, i love the concept

oh, and sorry about going into critique mode..

I shot the pics with the D70 and 18-70mm lens. Postprocessed in Nikon capture and photoshop cs.

kinko charges 7$CAN / sq ft (colour). In 24"x36" poster there are 6 sq. ft. = 42$CAN. Those pictures are taken with a 6mp camera that's makes 3000x2000 pixle pics. Divide that by 300 dpi and u get a 10"x6.67" print. If I were to keep the 300 dpi resolution, i'd have to unsample the image 3.6 times. I can't really tell how it's going to look.

hmm.. taking a closer look at the pics, i take back what i said earlier..

i love the second the best, the way the reflection of the sky on the windows in combination with the way the sky was captured is awesome.. i love it.

Well I know my dad has a poster printer, if you send me the full res pic somehow I can see if I can print it on there any better. If you don't want to send the full-res picture I understand, just putting it out there.

150 DPI for 24x36 poster printing is perfectly acceptable. Higher DPI will of course produce a better print, but is really unnecessary for poster quality stuff.
