Haha, we are very similar, the NA Miata and UCF10 LS are both on my bucket list of cars. I've been telling myself I need to save a bit of dough and start another project so I can have a nice daily while I work on my 4Runner, but then I end up spending everything on the 4Runner anyways.

Clean UCF10s are almost too cheap NOT to pick up these days. Luxury car depreciation still blows my mind.

I'm shooting for another Miata next year, I miss having a little go-kart to tool around in. I've been racing my friends '90 the past two seasons in our local time Attack series and it holds me over but also makes me hate him because it's so good. JRSC on a 1.6 (200whp in a 2100lb car), 949 Racing XIDAs, mild aero and 10" wide wheels with 245 slicks. We reset the class lap record almost every event. It's gonna be tough buying a stock one to build and enjoying it after spending so much time behind the wheel of his.

I've seen really nice looking ones with decent mileage on em running and driving go for around 1500$ here, that's ridiculous value for the money. The only reason I haven't bought one is I would have to convert it to a 5 speed, can't stand driving auto, and I'm sure you know how hard it is to get a manual behind a UZ.

$60k-$80k new, $1500 22 years later and still reliable and comfortable as hell. It's like driving a couch until you **** up the suspension like I like to do. :nono:

5sp swaps are pricey but a lot more prevalent then they used to be. Hell, you can use 240SX/350Z transmissions now.

I read through the whole build thread where the guy detailed everything he did to run a 240 trans, it really is amazingly easy to do when you consider the car had absolutely no provisions or intent to ever have a manual transmission, the sticker price on the parts is what gets me though, almost a grand between the adapter plate, clutch and flywheel, yikes. that almost buys me a whole nother Lexus lol.

It's not cheap but I bet it's a blast to drive once it's done. My coworker is in the final stages of 1UZ swapping his little 94 Toyota Truck with a W58 behind it, I can't wait to see how rowdy the motor is with a manual trans behind it.

The "green weenie" still has a stereo.

Is that an Atom? There seems to me so many of those tube chassis cars floating around I can't even tell anymore. I want to drive one of those BADLY.

Those Exocets look like a blast too, they're basically Miatas with the tub removed and a tube chassis in it's place.

Designed and built from scratch in my buddy's garage. But it definitely took a lot of design cues from the Atom. Powered by a turbo honda B-series from my old jalopy. It acutally looks a lot sharper than that nowadays, he's been putting some "body" panels and finishing touches on it (real wheels and tires). I'll have to get some fresh pics.

Funny coincidence, my buddy recently sold his saab station wagon to the owner of Flyin Miata

So, in keeping with my tread title, I've changed my mind 100 times since the discussion of 35s and re-gearing on the previous page... I basically came to the realization that the cost and effort required to run the 35s properly outweighed my desire to actually see it though, currently.

I sold the 35s and went back to a 33 and I'm ultimately happier. It's nice to stuff tire without tons of rubbing again.

We brought this thing home about a week ago, which is awesome for my girlfriend but, more importantly, me.

She loves it because it's modern and adorable, I love it because I don't have to daily this stupid thing anymore:

Parked the LS, got the T4R back and now I can start playing with it again. I'm stoked.

It's mainly been my Fiance's daily so I haven't done too much to it. I'm itching to get her another vehicle since she complains about the height of the truck and I really wanna play with it more.

I'm gonna temporarily remove the LC rear coils and go back to the 99 talls I had only with a 2.5" spacer this time around. She wants a more "modern" interior too so I'm gearing up for an LED dash light attack, a double DIN and possible a Lexus wood grain wheel (anyone done this?) Also buying parts for a SC rebuild.

3) Hahahaha, I'd die if I used OEM parts for the conversion, even at my employee price. It's all eBay/CertaFit except for an OEM 99+ bumper I scored used. :hurt:
