Supercharged Question

I am not very familiar with Superchargers and how they operate so please pardon my ignorance in the following question.


For those of you that have the TRD SC on your rigs what kind of fuel do you use? I have been told by a few folks that I should only use Exxon 93 octane as anything less like 87 or 89 octane could cause damage to the SC. I was more than skeptical of that so that is why I wanted to hear what you guys used. Thanks in advance.

Most run premo bc it burns better and is better for the sc

Yes, in general you should be using "super" either 93 or 91 octane depending on what your state offers. Futher more, you may need fuel mods to help the motor get enough fuel, avoid the ping, etc. The SC on it's own tends to make the 3.4 run lean. I'm running a smaller pulley, URD's 7th injector/FTC, and Meth injection. Some people on other sites have had success running just Meth injection w/o a 7th injector or larger injectors. The SC by itself is not the only item you may need.
