supercharger n00b help

Apparently I'm not very good at following installation manual. I've installed TRD SC and now I'm left with some loose ends or to be more specific HOSES with no where to go. Not sure where they go. Truck turns at a high rpm and it dies. Obviously - I've missed few steps along the way. Appreciate the input in advance.

In case you didn't....

First picture goes in the trash. I'd be interested to see what you currently have it hooked up to. Is it the fuel pressure regulator? If so- see my last comment.

Second picture gets cut in half, check valve installed in the middle, and plugged into throttle body.

Third picture gets cut in half with a t-fitting connecting the halves. Then it goes on one of the two vacuum ports on the SC between the diagnosis thing and the black spacer.

4th picture goes in to that t-fitting you installed on the 3rd picture.

5th picture which you didn't post a picture of is your boost port that has nothing on it. Plug your fuel pressure regulator into that.

As for why this is happening...

By those hoses not being hooked up you have a handful of vacuum/boost leaks and I'd bet a small amount of money (maybe like a nickel. Perhaps a dime) that your fuel pressure regulator isn't hooked up.

I also bet your 4wd doesn't work.

5th picture which you didn't post a picture of is your boost port that has nothing on it. Plug your fuel pressure regulator into that.

That funny looking bronze nipple on the back of the super charger. You can see it in a couple of yours pictures.

Is this what you're referring to? The cable is really short and won't reach after i removed the metal piping that used to be part of.

Yes, that's the boost port. And yes, that's the fuel pressure regulator. And yes, they should be connected like that.

Probably should go buy some new vacuum lines from the local autoparts store. you can get a few feet for a couple dollars.

thanks dood. you've been a tremendous help. I had some today and got the hoses put on the way you suggested. But I came across outlets behind throttle body and behind the supercharger that are just open. Should these be opened like this?

Yeah thanks for the suggestion. these rubber vacuum lines are so old I had to make couple of runs to the local shop to get some new ones.

Connect those.

Sorry for my short answers. Trying to be concise in order to avoid confusion. Hope you get it going. After that's hooked up it should be ready to fire up, if you did all the other connections I mentioned earlier.
