Main thing is you're happy. Better check to make sure you can reflash the ECU still. Not sure that exists now that the charger program kicked the bucket. If not you will be modifying that injector to a urd one.

I have read the whole supercharger tread several times and don't understand what you are talking about. Please elaborate on this as I don't quite follow. I thought The TRD 7th injector system is a plug and play unit. No tuning or flashing required.

Sure. The ECU needs to be reflashed with the TRD supercharger. Without the reflash the 7th injector is worthless because it will not run right. Sure, you can modify it to become a URD 7th... but that is not free... Talk to the guys at URD. Hence why I left it out of my initial calculation. BTW, MSRP is around $2900 for the magnuson unit. Not sure who would pay full MSRP from any vendor.

I had a 2000 with a TRD supercharger, TRD 7th, and URD 2.0" pulley. Used to post under QSVeilside on yotatech. It's a lot of fun and you will love it.

I have called every vendor I can find from Ebay to URD and none of them are willing to drop the price at all. URD did say if I purchased the sc from them they would knock 100 bucks off the 7th injector kit. That would still have been over 3500. I just didn't want to pay that much.

I stand corrected. I had an 07 FJ with a TRD supercharger at the same time I had the 00 4Runner. The FJ required a reflash after the supercharger was installed to run correctly. It's been seven years since I owned these trucks so my memory is a little foggy.

You can not 'reflash' the 3rd gen ECU. Later gens im sure youncan but not this 1990s technology. The 7th Urd system piggybacks the ecu. You need to splice into some of the ECU wires. Then you turn the uth unit which edits how the ecu reads info. Bassically it tricks/lies to the OEM ECU.
