Has anyone else heard that Magnuson released a supercharger to replace the discontinued TRD?

I think Superchargers Online will have some soon.
Just a thought for anyone looking!

haha well i bet some people feel dumb after spending the big bucks on them after they were discontinued lol :fish:

Buahahaha !!!!

Glad I didn't spend $2500 on a piece of shit used one.
This will go nice with my TRD headers :)

I am curious to see how long they keep them on the market without having to change the design up. Yes they may have made them, but the design was a proprietary Toyota design.

LCE brought the rights which is what's Toyota reporting. Obviously, minus the TRD casting on the housing. It's a $3000 investment plus the fuel option and misc.

Either way, great enhancement to the go pedal

So these superchargers a pretty much bolt on? Reading through some of the older posts and not seeing much mentioned about recommended changes needed to the fuel system. Is it recommended to replace or upgrade any parts of the fuel system?

Also, how much of a bad idea would it be to install one on a 5vz-fe with almost 200k miles (mine)?

That's the exact same design as the TRD 2nd gen chargers. I would assume they would even sell nose cones and all that too.

Also great news for us that have superchargers, replacement parts will be around a whole lot longer now!

It's the exact same supercharger just without the TRD logo for obvious reasons lol. The nose ones have always been available as the superchargers parts are not specific to only the supercharger for the 5vz-fe. The housing was just designed to work with our engines.

Yes they are bolt on. Recommended to upgrade the fuel system, but maybe not necessary. I'll direct you here for more reading - http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/146022-3-4l-trd-supercharger-thread.html

Installing one on your 3.4 doesn't seem like a bad idea if the engine is healthy. These don't make that much boost.

How crazy would I be to put one of these on a truck with 210k miles on it?

I just landed a new long term contract that's putting a substantial amount of disposable income in my pocket, and the thought of another 50Hp is pretty appealing. :hungry:
