supercharger

does anyone know if putting a supercharger on your 4runner giver it better or worse gas milage?

from my experiance it was the exact same. me, 99 4runner no s/c, my buddy 2000 4runner s/c same lift, same size tires.
we topped off at the same place, ran the same trail, I basicly followed him the whole day, got back into town and topped off again, we both filled up the same exact gallons.

BUT,, IF I had a s/c, my fuel use, would go up, Id always be ion it, lol

OH with a s/c, you do have to always run Premium gas, thats something to think about.

I wouldn't put supercharger in 4.0 engine because its compression is nearly 11 to 1. By adding SC you will run that engine hot which means changing spark timing, better cooling, better intake and premium gas needed.

let me add, that mine is a 1999 and Marks is a 2000..
also most would need to ad about a $1000 of fuel mods to make run right, plugs injectors, smaller pully not sure what else, thou I do know guys with 3rd Gens that just put the s/c on there and was fine.
