Superficial Tire Cracks or Replace?

Cracks have developed on the tread of one of my Cooper Discover AT3s. Does this just look like superficial cracking or should I look at replacing them? Just looking for some suggestions. Probably being hyper sensitive. They were installed Oct 2016, so about 2 years old.

I would look into the date code in the tire. if the tire is between 6-10 years old, that is still okay in my opinion.

I've had a michellin tire(original) that I used for almost 9 years, around 90000 miles. I only replaced it because I have a really long continuous drive coming at that time.

Took it into Discount Tire and they said it looks fine, just cosmetic. I had them inflate them up to 35 psi to get a little bit better mileage. They were slightly under inflated, so I’ll see if that helps. I will look into the mfg date and very it’s true age. Thanks for the advice.

Mfg date is 2816, so sometime in June of 2016. Had them installed in October, so from an age standpoint they should be okay. Will keep my eye on it.

Looks like you are in the clear OP. I think the age of the tire is the most important but you are good there.

If it gets any worse, I would keep some good photos and you can always run it by the manufacture to see if its normal.

I've seen them pro-rate credit on the return, or even replacement at no cost to you if deemed defective.
