I come bearing...pictures!

First thing I noticed after getting the LCA bolts out, the size in the cam bolts:

Nut size for OEM; 19mm
Nut size for Superpro; 1"

Luckily I had a 1" wrench laying around!

With SPC being the only other supplier of Cam bolts that I've been able to find, those bolts are monsters by comparison. The OEM bolts are notorious for freezing up at the first sign of trouble, while the SPC strip out their weeny little keyed hole they use to align.

They appear to be worth it for the bolts... the camber plate and bolts themselves are one piece. Pretty rad units. If they thought of that for an improvement I'd suspect they've incorporated other improvements to the LCA?

I think you made a good choice. I watched a 20+ min video on their bushing design and was very impressive. Gives you the free movement of LCA (and UCA) that one would want for smooth suspension reaction.

Not totally true.

Febest has these alignment parts available that match OEM, made of class 10.9 material, and are cheaper than OEM. Have them on my truck, and they're great.

As far as turning and drive ability, it feels great! I foresee SuperPro getting some more business with these LCAs now that we can finally see what the alignment specs are on a mildly lifted vehicle, would be even better with an aftermarket UCA I'm sure. Like you mentioned, the hardware alone is MUCH beefier than OEM.

At first looking at these i was thinking... cool ideal. Off center bushing. More adjustable...may just confuse the alignment guys more.
After checking them out more it seems like they add camber, which is not ussually the problem, getting more caster seems to be the issue.
The more you lift the less caster you can get into the OEM system.
Less caster means more road way input...ruts/cross winds.
More caster it tracks straighter with less driver input.

Is there such thing as too much caster? I was able to get 4.7 and 4.9 caster with JBA High Caster UCA and stock LCA. My alignment paper says "Specified Range" is 2.5-4.0. I'm running bilstein 6112s at max height so that's roughly 2.5" lift?

It's taking sometime getting used to my new caster settings. I have to give more effort to correct any cross wind or wide curves on the highway.

I'm probably going to need new LCA someday. I'm on my stock ones at 250k. The alignment tech said the bushings are stiff and starting to crack but there is no unwanted movement yet in the LCA.

I contacted Apache, and initially they said they were out of stock. He called me back about 10 minutes later and told me that there is one set left in stock.

So far great customer service from Apache Offroad!

I don't recommend Vivid Racing. You can look at their reviews and see a lot that says they don't update you on your parts without you contacting them, this is 100% true.

It was 2 weeks before any contact was made after ordering, which I had to initiate. Another 2 weeks went by after initial contact, saying they would update me, no word back. After a month, I finally hear something, in which they ask me to pay more $$ for shipping to get it to me in the next 3-4 days from Australia. I defer and they offer to cover it (mind you this is a month after ordering). Never received tracking number [they put a signature on everything fyi] until it I got a letter on my door from FedEx saying I had missed a delivery (surprise!).

Pretty much everything that is covered in reviews, sadly happen with me as well. Ignore the nice site, order elsewhere. In the end, they stepped up and did the right thing but this has clearly been going on for awhile based on their reviews.

They showed up yesterday!

I haven’t opened them up yet, may not actually need them.

I had a PPI done on my new 4Runner (bought site unseen from Montana) and the mechanic identified the LCA bushings as blown out. When the truck showed up, I found the “blown bushing” seems to be a loose bolt. I’ll be ripping it apart soon to confirm, but I may be selling these.

Installed the SuperPro’s last night.

Extremely impressed. The inner sleeve is captured, but not bonded to the poly. With the alignment cams torqued, the arms swing freely. Everything fit great, and so far I’m very impressed with the quality.

I installed these with JBA UCA’s.

I requested ~4.2 degrees of caster and slight negative camber. They got it just right! All 4 alignment cams are almost centered. Tons of adjustment in any direction.

That's really good to hear. With them being able to move freely up and down without any bushing resistance like the stock ones, the truck "should" ride better up front with those.

I honestly couldn’t say. I’ve only owned the truck a week, ~100 miles before swapping. Before I swapped them the alignment was trash too.

I can say that the truck rides great now though.

I ordered the SuperPro bushing kit for my LCA's and now have them. Will install soon. Reason being just what rivman says, frees up the LCA movement as it should be.

Just ordered the standard replacement Superpros from Apache Offroad as they are a little cheaper than the adjustable ones. I now have JBA UCAs on the way so caster will not be an issue with my 2.5 inch lift.

Was about to have my LCAs rebuilt with poly bushings but this will be about the same cost or less than paying my mechanic hourly to rebuild my old crusty ones. I like that these have beefier cam bolts and are built for offroad use.
