Could you be tempted into a 5L V8 455HP Supra? It might happen!

don't forget the part where you tell her that she can have the 4runner.....:D

alright, so now that my head is spinning with thoughts of supra's again, come on. toyota will never release this, there has been speculation and spy shots and "prototypes" since 2000 or so. it would be nice, and you would think that now with the 350Z and mazda rx8 doing well they would push out a new supra, but they have repeadedly denied that they will bring it back.

i want more info on this still, but im not hoping that they make this, because i know if i do, ill be sad because i wont be able to get one, other than that... any other photo's? anyone know a toyota insider with the inside scoop?

I heard these were going to cost upwards of 80K+. Supercars are nice, but I'd want something that more of the masses could afford.

there is no way toyota would release something that cost north of 80k... not even the landcrusier comes close to that with every option you can get, if they actually release it, i would expect around 40k, after all, they would want to compete with the rx8 and the 350z, both of which are a few k less than 80... it makes no sense to release a supercar, under the toyota badge, perhaps lexus would, but not toyota

I agree, wasn't the price of the old Supra part of the reason for it's demise.

when the last supra came out a fully loader twin turbo was sticker around high 40k to low 50K then the last two year or so b4 it died toyota drop the sticker price by as much as 10k! but i guess a 10k drop in price was not enough to keep it around. I wish I had gotten that 98 Twin turbo quicksilver back then for investment! today 8 year latter it would still be worth over 30K or close to the original new price for one in mint low miles conduction! dame i cant believe those think still keep their value till this day! also I herd it because of the first F & F movies that make the supra really poplar with the import racer when they knew how much power that GTE-2JZ beast can make from a stock motor.

toyota has to release the supra already. i'm so sick of seeing the "Z" and the "G35" around. i hope the v6 version is affordable (under 40k). atleast i don't have to see too many hondas on the streets. (nsx-over priced, s2000-over revs).

remember, since this is in Japan, Toyota is more well known than Lexus. Therefore the toyota badging on those pictures.

If they release it here, it would most likely be the sc430 replacement.
