Supra725 Build Thread

No worry Gerdo, I was thinking the same thing; maybe a supra engine that dyno's a ridiculous 725hp in a 3rd gen, or at least a turbo.

None the less, nice wheels and lights Supra725. Good luck with your build.

That would be nice though...

Thanks RHeld24..

Little update..

Sunday evening update.

-Wheels are all finished except one (their was some kind of particles that came out from the paint) and now, the whole wheels needs to be refinished. Grrr..

the other wheel is coming soon due to paint issues.. Some particles came out from the paint.. :bash:

I'm going to re-sand it this week and finish painting it.

Everything looks great man! Lets see those wheels on the runner. :nicethread:

Side note, I've noticed a LOT of people have troubles with plasti dipping the toyota logo on the rear hatch. Wonder why that is? Maybe the wiper gets in the way of even spray passes.. idk.

Thanks Ripcord.

I had to sprayed mine 4 times because it was a pita.. I found out is easier to turn the wipers on and take the keys out as soon as it reaches half way through the window..

the first time it came out alright but when I went to take the tape off, the plasti dip came out with it... :redbrick:

second time I did it, same problem and tried again the following day.. Same problem...

How is it possible that the plasti-dip doesn't stick to the body paint? Also, how do you prepare the badges? Any sanding or priming?

when the plasti-dip dries.. you can rub it off..

I used this thread as a guide to help me when I was doing mine..

DIY - Matte Black Emblems - Plastidip, no emblem removal required! - Club Lexus Forums

There wasn't really any prep, I just washed my runner the day before and was clean when I applied the plasti-dip on to the emblems..

no sanding not priming.. just a clean surface..

Oh cool, thanks for the info and link supra.

Is it possible to use plasti-dip to paint the fender flares? My concern would be how well it stays on.

trdrun,

I don't know how well it will stay on because I haven't done them myself.

are you talking about the stock limited flares that came with the runner?

could someone lend me some help on this one?

little update.

-made an appointment this afternoon for friday to put the new wheels on.
-hopefully order an pair of led tails this weekend..

sorry for the late response.

been busy with school, work and painting another set of wheels.

You can plasti dipflares but if you scratch up against anything it will peel off. Imo bed line or hammer finish.

need some opinion on this..

should I keep my white letters out on my BFG's or should I flip them and have the black walls out?

Ok....I've been biting my tongue now for weeks......Can you post up some pics of your rig in your build thread man?? HA HA HA! You're a TEASE! lol!

Side note, I'd put black letters showing......

thanks fightman80,

I will post some more pictures tomorrow after getting the wheels put on and some of the tinted windows too..
