Last but not least I purchased a new fridge slide. My old dometic slide would not pull out far enough and the lid would not stay open completely. The new front runner slide is awesome and very well built.

When I get a moment I will do a write up on installing an aftermarket backup camera for tire swingouts on the cheap. Mine cost about $25.

It does require some cutting, you can see exactly how much in their install guide. It's about 6 inches on the side and up on the black step/ bumper. The nice thing about the bumper is it goes over and around the cuts so you don't see them. Mistakes are hidden
. I called and asked about weight and didn't get a straight answer, so I'm not sure. After lifting it on and off a few times I would say 120-150 or so....Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

How do you like the bumper?
Regarding the weight, when I asked about the weight of their dual swingout bumper the number they gave me was 220 lbs.
In the thrid picture of your bumper there appear to be two screws and maybe a pin on the bottom of the swingarm. What are those for?

Ok that sounds about right for the swingouts I would say they are in the 50-75 lb range per swingout.
I love the bumper. It fits the vehicle very well. The attention to detail in every aspect of it from the latch mechanism to the way it attaches to the frame, the construction of the swingouts is amazing. It is one of the few I have seen that doesn't stick out a lot from the fenders. It hugs them and sticks out maybe 1" from the body.
I forgot to mention the screws when I posted the pictures. That is the lock to hold it open, I was in the process of loctiting them because they were loose. Had not finished tightening it back up yet.

Ok so here is my write up.
This includes 2 mods in 1.
1. Switchable backup camera
2. Installation of aftermarket backup camera for tire swingouts
There are a few guides out there on installing various different cameras but this one will be universal for an entune nav system.
What to buy.
Here is the camera I purchased. The reason I chose this camera is that it allows you to remove the parking lines.

The wire I used is from home depot. It is called shielded security wire. You will need 18/4. I purchased 30 feet.

Lastly you need a 1n4004 rectifier diode.

That should do it!
1. First we need to remove the lower part of the dash where the switches are I am not going to put a guide on how to do that. Do a search on lower dash removal.
2. Figure out which switch location you want and knock out dummy plug.
3. Locate the gauge dimmer or other switch plug and find the green wire and grey wire.
4. Green wire is your illumination +
5. Grey wire is your illumination –
6. Get 2 wires, you may use the 4 wire you just purchased or you can get 2 individual wires, it doesn’t matter
7. We will call them red and black to keep it straight
8. Switch wiring will look like this
a. Switch yellow- oem green
b. Switch black- oem grey
c. Switch green- “red” wire
d. Switch blue- “black” wire
9. Ok now remove the entune stereo. I used this guide to figure out the mod and the removal of the stereo https://tinyurl.com/yby3rc4d

10. Using the below picture. The red wire on the left that has an arrow on it needs to be cut. Solder the diode in line with that wire. The grey stripe end goes towards the stereo or plug.
11. Locate the grey wire on the right to the left of the blue wire with the arrow and cut it. Splice your black wire to the grey wire

13. Now that you have done that you need to splice 2 wires onto one side of the diode the “red” wire from your switch and another red wire from the 4 wire for your camera. It needs to go on the grey stripe side of the diode.
14. It sounds confusing but it should look like this.

16. The last connection is made at another radio connector. It is the one with the pink electrical tape on the conduit. It should contain only 4 wires. An orange, red, white and black.
17. Cut the white and black wires leave enough wire on the connector side to work with.
18. White is rca +, black is RCA -.
19. On your camera when you clip the power and rca end off you will end up with yellow, black and red,black. Yellow is rca +, and black is rca-. Red is Power+ and black is Power-.
20. With our new 4 wire cable I used green as rca – and white as rca+. Red should have already been connected and Black will be grounded to wherever you desire.
21. Run that 4 wire through your car to get to the swingout. Reference my drawing to make the final connection at the swingarm.
22. Test everything and put it all back together.

Came up with the idea today to wire up a forward facing camera with a toggle switch to switch between front and rear. Pics to follow. $24 total

So I have just about wrapped things up with this build. I have some things I would like to clean up for storage, I am going to rebuild the rear storage unit. Having had it for some time now I found faults in my design and had a lot of wasted space. Biggest being the amount of space I left around the fridge. The new design will be kept tight to the fridge. Additionally I will be making shelves that go over the wheel wells that will allow me to utilize that space. I will be picking up some aluminum over the next couple of days and will start that project soon. More to follow.

Rigid a series camp/ scene lights. Already had switches and wiring completed for a light bar so just redirected it to the roof rack.....

Purchased a Bakflip tonneau cover for a ford ranger on craigslist brand new. With the measurements of the tonneau i was able to figure out the angles and measurements of the sides of the trailer. Wanted to have a bantum trailer look. The total width at the top is almost exactly 4x6'.
