Survived a great trip to Colorado

About two weeks ago I headed out from central Texas to Colorado to get a few things accomplished. 1. Get away from people, 2. do some fly fishing, 3. try out the TE on some beautiful Colorado trails. I accomplished what I set out to do in the Durango-Silverton-Telluride-Ouray area. My buddy and I spent about 9 days in the area, and dedicated 3 days to driving the amazing roadways that Colorado calls "trails" or "county roads".

The people in Colorado were so great to be around. It was a nice complement to have someone with a built Rubicon crawl all over the TE and say after trying it out "you can make any trail around here with that thing." I will be back and already wish I could spend more time in the area.

I've been going to Ouray for years. All of your photos look very familiar and bring back great memories of past trips, including this summer. I've always wanted to get up there this time of year to see the fall colors, but kid's school and work obligations always get in the way.

The sign on top of Imogene is new. That wasn't there in July.

Apparently somebody stole the imogene pass sign... I don't think that's the first time that's happened.

I've lived here since 1974 and it never gets old. I wish the wheeling season was longer -- it's snowing at elevation today.
