Hey Guys I'm pretty new here, just got my 88 runner not to long ago. I'm running 63" chevy springs in the rear and all pro 4" ruf swap ...I have a block in the rear to level it out but I'm wanting to not use blocks ...thinking about using chevy lift springs but was unsure what size I should get, 4"? 5"? maybe 5" and take a couple leafs out? let me know please

Nice truck. If the block isn't that big you can do a add a leaf. Or you can get a longer shackle.. Or both. A few pics of your current setup always helps us get a good idea of what might work best for you.

If you're open to another option, pull a leaf from the fronts and add it to the rears, or just find another Chevy leaf to stuff in there if the fronts are too skinny. That'll help level it, it'll drop your cog a hair, and you'll still have plenty of room for the 35s.

Why ditching the blocks? Axle wrap? If its working why change it..

On the other hand, if you want lift spring, since your current springs are stock, get the amount of lift that you have block. So if you have a 4" block, get a 4" lift spring.

But that defeats the purpose of the chevys being cheap. If you want new leafs, maybe look into TG rear leafs, they have a shorter over length while still providing height and giving you a better departure angle, but you would have to move hangers...

Or maybe look into f150 springs and a track bar... or a track bar and keep the block?

I guess we need to know how much block you have in there. I like Kids idea of leaf spring musical chairs...

Swapping in Chevy springs is done more for flex, they don't provide much lift.
If you're looking for lift, get new lift springs from Marlin or All Pro.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I am looking to eliminate the blocks while still being able to flex really well. I just don't know what the best option would be for me. here's a few more pics

Ya know, looking at it again, the simplest way to get rid of the blocks and keep the same height in the rear would be to get some Chevy lift springs.

Yea that's what I was thinking too I just don't know what size to get, should I just measure the block and get however many inches that is? or should I get an inch bigger and take a couple leafs out to help it flex more? I know I wont get the same flex as stock chevy springs but I still want it to flex pretty well

The leaves you've got are probably a little saggy compared to stock height. That looks like a 4 inch block, I'd get 5 inch springs and if they're too tall, pull one.
