Suspension,lift inputs,suggestions???

Ok guys here the deal I need I little bit of help ideas or feed back on setups you guys have pics would help to. Ok I have order a radflo lift with extended rear shocks.. First off are the front ones not extended if it does not say. 2nd I'd like to know the differance in the toytec boss, toytec ultimate lifts.. Also do this have extended trail and how would all 3 of these sit and perform.. Last I will be moving to icon stage 3 lift next Christmas. So pls help me with set up till then.


1 more thing I have also ordered a shockworks front bumper but I have read some of you guys don't like the lines and how they line up compared to CBI or demollo.... I can cancel order for lift and bumper if need be so inputs and pics would help me a lot.

wait so you're going to buy a lift now to replace it with an icon set up next christmas? I'm not sure i follow.

also, the bumper is subjective, if you like it, why change it since you've ordered it? lots of people like each different style and they all have their pros and cons, but don't cancel an order on something you already decided on cause someone doesnt like how it looks. personally i think the shrockworks bumpers look great with the body ones

I Have a buddy with a 4runner im giveing him my old lift, next Christmas when I order icon stage 3. As for the lift im trying make a great set up that will last AMD work off road, with alot of flex.( extended travel) Yes I like the shockworks but it not lineing up with body or have gaps will bother me so I thought I'd ask around maybe get pics off different bumpers.
 
I agree with Ethan, I like the shrockworks bumper and even if I didn't it's not my 4R. I'm not too sure about the radflo front coilovers. I think I understood your question(If the radflos are not labeled as extended, that mean they aren't extended?)<- that's my edited version of your question how I understood it. This difference in the two toytec lifts are the shocks I believe. Both are very good but the more expensive boss should come with better shocks with the option to add a diff drop. Last but not least, why in the world would you want to lift this now just too re-do it next Christmas?! my guess is because you have a bumper coming. If you can afford the toytec boss right now then that is a great setup and by no means a starter setup and it would definitely handle the bumper.

edit: just saw your above post so now I know why you're getting another lift next Christmas. I think radflo makes extended travel and I know for sure icon does. It may be better to lift it now and then next Christmas go extended travel when you get the icon setup

i get what you're saying. [MENTION=90013]HHIRunner[/MENTION] has the radflo kit, he can probably comment, and [MENTION=65653]aha2988[/MENTION] probably can too, he helped out with the install

also, [MENTION=55855]zopperman[/MENTION] has a shrockworks 3 hoop so he can probably comment on the way it hugs the body lines, but until he does, here are some pics to hold you over of his 4runner and another previous members

Thanks to all of you guys for help and imput, since the toytec boss is not extended travel ( I think ). I'm staying with the radflo kit bc HHIrunner is the stance I want with travel love the set up. I'm also staying with the shockworks front bumper. Rear will be CBI. Love the T4R
, logo will be going on truck.
 
Glad you're happy with your choice, I think you'll be happy with the bumper. Also, keep in mind hhirunner has a body lift so his is a bit higher
 
I see the 4runner in the second picture Ethan uploaded at least once a week and it still looks great, I think you'll be very happy!

Looks mean I asked him I believe about 20" rims , but I ordered 18" for my 4Runner. Just want know how they rode and performed off road on a 4Runner. Bc my Tahoe I have with 20" is a differ story. I'm learning as I go with the 4runners and the setups up can do and tire sizes without rubbing and all that, now with my 04 Tahoe I have that down to a science :banana:
 
I'm running the Radflo extended with 700# coils for the past 1.5 years. Love them but don't forget that you'll need new UCAs as well. I have the Shrockworks bumper too. Check my build for pics. I don't have a body lift but the 285s clear just fine with body mount chop and some plastic trimming so you shouldn't have an issue there given that you have the 1" lift already. Make sure you get the proper brackets for the Shrockworks bumper. They have mounts for body lifts and mounts for non body lifts and if you're not SUPER clear with them when you order, you might get the wrong mounts.

You will definitely be happy with the Radflo setup. Don't forget with the extended travel you will also need aftermarket UCAs, I also am running a 1.25" Body lift

The ride we went on was at the Uwharrie National Forest which is outside of Charlotte, NC. It's a great place to wheel.

I would total up the money you plan to spend on both suspension kits and put it into the comparable price options on this page: Suspension Kits

this will gain you the most travel and best bang for you buck from what I've seen and dealt with over the past few years.

All of the adjustable coil over options ride great. The differences come down to the valving and just the actual construction of the coil overs. The extended travel coil over options add about an inch of down travel over non extended travel options but require the after market upper control arms to achieve this extra inch.

most of the travel gains are going to be found in the rear.

yeah I've seen pictures of it. the original owner, autbond on here, sold it and bought a tahoe, now some college kid has it, i saw it on instagram but forgot his username

Satoshi grille, you can modify it yourself or pay me. Not sure anyone else on the forum does it for 4th gens.
