Suspension rattling and clanking sounds

So my lift is in the sig.....the rear end has a slight squeak or rattle at times and I've come to just deal with that but the front end is what is starting to really bother me.

It usually happens when the suspension is off kilter, like going over a slightly uneven road or when there's an "S" curve in the road and my steering switches from turning left to turning right. That's about the best I can describe it. The front end has this slight metal on metal sound almost like its adjusting or something. Ivemchecked everything I possibly could and even stopped, got out, and shook the truck as hard as I could but heard nothing.

Has anyone else had this or something similar?

steering rack bushings, sway bars, upper or lower control arms, panhard bar idk lose shock mount(doubt that though). it also could be one of the isolator bushings for the top hat on the struts... i had this on my 4runner, id hear this clunk every now and again but it was more from going over bumps but it was not a constant clunking sound... sometimes it made the sound sometimes not

Yeah it's not all the time, just occasionally. And usually when it does it I've got the wheel just slightly turned. But then I'll hit a bump in the road and no sound whatsoever.

How are your front sway bar links?

As The Kid said, it's likely a suspension component that's not tight. I had some front end clunking that turned out to be my sway bar end-links (both were loose)... I have also had my rear track bar bolt come loose... then fall out.

i've had an annoying squeak for about a month now because i'm too lazy to lift the truck up and rotate the spring 1/8th of an inch in the seat so it sits properly... there's a whole myrid of things that can cause what your describing , try to recreate the condition in such a way where you can have a buddy stand there and listen to where it's coming from, usually just jumping on the bumper will help narrow it down, with the wheels turned and a clunk i might suspect steering rack bushings..... if this is the case, climb under the truck and have a buddy move the wheels left to right and watch the rack in the bushings and look for play and slippage as it's doing it's thing.

i dont know if mine is the same but i also hear a bang (metal on metal). it bugged me for a month until i found out wat it was. my roof would bang up against those 3 small bars on the roof rack. prob not the same, just offering my 2 cents.

Turn your wheels slightly (try this turned both ways), grab your front bumper somehow and start trying to bounce the front end. If you hear something, have someone do the same thing while you investigate. You can't be a pansy about it (not saying you are lol) but you need to really lay into it and make your front end bounce like crazy.

Check to see if the upper ball joint is hitting the coil spring

This is reminiscent of my LBJ failure earlier this year. Very similar symptoms. More of a creaking or squeaking sound. Have you had the LBJ's replaced?

Passenger side rear ting

I'm having something similar. I have a tinging / pinging sound from the passenger rear . Last July I replaced the coil springs, and shocks. The sound appeared in the last 2 months. It happens when I go over the lip into the garage as well as other times. I can also reproduce somewhat by rocking the vehicle back and forth. Been thinking of buying the chassis ears to track it down. I looked under there several times and cannot see anything that looks like it is causing the sound.
