Suspension upgrade for a hefty bumper

Hey folks, I am about a month out for the Hefty's aluminum bumper delivery.. The extra weight got me thinking.
I'm currently on 5100 bilsteins all around, and I think I'm going to bump the current set up to 6112. I am not getting a winch yet, but will be picking one up later.

the question is should I go with standard or heavy load 6112?
Or should I go with a different shock altogether?

It depends on what other weight you have on your rig and where it's positioned. For instance if you have sliders and a steel roof rack in addition to the bumper and winch you might need a 700# coil. If you don't have too much extra weight bolted to the rig and don't load up to much to head out you could get away with a 650# coil. Consider also that getting a heavy coil before you have the extra weight on the rig will significantly affect ride quality and ride height. The winch probably will weigh as much as the bumper with a Hefty. If it's a winch with steel cable it'll weigh more. IIRC my Hefty bumper is 65# and my winch with synthetic line is 70#


Edit, sorry I see you asking about coil overs all together.. I'd go with the heavy load 6112 or better yet a fully adjustable coil over setup makes it easier to get you height dialed in if you're changing your setup

this is why i'm concerned about getting the heavy coil, to be honest.
I do have a gobi roof rack and steel sliders are about to get some rino on them, so there is some extra weight.
This said, though, I won't be getting a winch for at least 6 months (and, depending on this pandemic shyte, might be longer), so I'm concerned that i'll get a bouncy front end for the duration of that wait.

I think you gotta buy for the long haul with suspension. Especially the front considering the difficulty of changing the coil and needing an alignment when you do. Considering the sliders and the Gobi, I'd get into a 700# coil and a fully adjustable front shock so you can lower it till you have the weight on it and then raise it when you add it. I don't think it'll be bouncy but it might be stiffer than you'd like till the weight is on it
