Suspension, Wheels and tire shopping... Oh the joys!

I've been tossing around what I'm going to do to my 04 LTD and I so far i'm thinking that I'll run Goodyear Duratracs 305/70/16 and Rock Crusher Black 16X8 6X5.5 -20MM 3.625 4.250. My only concern with this setup is will the Wheels fit over the break rotor? I know on my Fj I could run 16s with no problem but after doing some really quick searching I wasn't able to find much about the 4R.

Next is the suspension. I've done a WHOLE lot of research and I'm still a noob but I'm thinking that I'll run a Toytec Ultimate 3" and maybe a spacer after I add a bumper (demello) if it sags

My main concern is the suspension, and the size of the tires. I know that I'd probably have to do some trimming but how much trimming would I have to do? Fenders, body mount and what else? Also, would I be able to run the tires before getting suspension or would suspension have to come first?

for those size tires you're deffinitely going to need some major trimming and you will need a lift first.

Major trimming, check. Don't really want to go down that patch, I did another search and found I'd have a lot of problems with UCA and I don't even want to risk it. Would 285/75/16's be better? It's the same height (33) but not as wide (11.22 vs 12.01)

Yes, I just put 285/75r16s on mine sunday, Ive got the DS 2.5/1.5 kit. I have a little rubbing on the UCA's and the front fender liner. Its very drivable though, at least until i get my wheel spacers, then i will prolly move the fender liner forward, I dont think any trimming will be needed

The fender liner doesn't worry me, I can trim that! Its the UCA that worries me but if you say its mild on a 2.5 blocks that's reassuring. Maybe, just maybe the toytec will be a true 3 and It'll clear the UCA. What size spacer are you going to end up running?

1.25, i only want em out far enough to clear UCA's, make sure you get HUB centric, not lug centric

I'll remember that! I was just going to go with spidertrax when I buy 'em.

Are they really? I haven't really looked into spacers, I just know from my FJ that spidertrax are good.
