howdy all
i am new to this forum. i just bought a 97 4runner. 240k miles. everything works. runs like a champ, pulls strong, tranny is smooth, shifts nice.
the only thing that is a problem is the front brakes. i have already ordered new master cylinder, hawk pads, frozen rotors, steel braided lines.
also rides like there is no suspension at all. looking at the fronts, i dont think they have ever been changed, kinda scary. the rear shocks have been.
i have seen the recall on the rear springs, i dont know what they change, but i can get new springs, would be nice. it definately has sag.
anyway, i have also ordered new shocks for back, rancho 5000 something, same for front, but struts.
my question is on the tundra springs i hear of, what year is compatible for the 4runner, what model of tundra, where is a good place to get some for a resonable price.
it should have a much better ride now, and hopefully some handling.
this of course will just be the begining, i plan to drive this till it just doesnt move anymore
if somebody could chime in, or point me to a link, or just some general help, it would be greatly appreciated.
i will be doing this all at the same time, so i need to get all the parts together first
thanks in advance
tony
