Sway-a-way coilover questions

So forgive my ignorance or flame away as I'm new to the 4Runner world, actually picking up a 99 limited w/ elocker next Friday and driving back to Connecticut; but I'm looking for a few answers regarding some used SAWS front coilovers I found locally for just over $200 bucks and want to ensure they'll work.

The seller gave me the following info:
-pulled off a 2002 trd Tacoma
-650 eibach springs replaced in November 2014
-race runner shocks
-one shock needs a rebuild
-comes with two rebuild kits (basically o ring set, no oil)

-I looked at a few suspension sites and it looks like this gen Tacoma is compatible with the 3rd gen 4Runner suspension, true?

-SAWS owners, anything missing or needed based on the photos below?

-Worth $200??

Originally I was planning the the tundra/5100/lc setup until I came across these

Nothing is missing, and they'll bolt right up. There's debate as to whether the top mounting plate being clocked 15 degrees off (to fit a tacoma) matters, but I am of the opinion that it doesn't.

Those are the SAW 2.0s. Nice coilovers for sure, especially at that price.

You can look up guides to rebuild if you're pretty handy. Will save you about $150.

I see nothing missing.

Thanks for the response Alex, great looking rig by the way. Got through half your build thread last night and makes me want to source a SC kit now

These look like the older SAWs off my Tundra. The top mounts have no heim joint, he can simply spin the mount (loosen the height adjuster first to remove spring tension/preload) to line up the the bolts.

They look complete, can't tell by the pics if the 3 top mount bolts there but they can easily be sourced. I agree with JBurt, $200 is a hell of a deal.

Agreed..

These are the older version 2.0" bodies. Still good co's. I would definitely buy them for that price and I highly suggest doing for a full rebuild on both. Condition is probably unknown and they're old. Id look into eyelet bearing (uniball) replacements, new seals, oil, and nitrogen refill for sure + whatever else that might look worn out when they're apart. Do it now before you go throwing them on cus I know it's tempting lol.

Here's a good representation of the difference between the old vs new..

Old on top, new on the bottom

Right on, :thanks: for all the insight y'all!

For those running these up front in a 3rd gen:
If I ran a 5100 shock in the rear, what's the best spring to pair it with? (Considering I've read that running these over 2.5" causes them to ride like crap)

Here are some more photos, I'll be picking them up Sunday morning

Are you getting the spanner wrenches for adjusting them too?

To help with your question, I'm not running these coilovers up front, but there really aren't that many options for rear springs on these trucks.
OME 906s for 2" lift
OME 890s for 3" lift
Toytec super flex for ~3.5" lift (maybe more?)
LC/LX coils for 3.5-5+" lift (depends on wrap numbers)
OME 861 if you have a LOT of rear weight.

Lift numbers vary with how much gear you carry also. Stock rear bumper? aftermarket bumper? lots of cargo/gear all the time? The best spring is subjective, and realistically probably isn't out there because everything is a compromise.

fish, the rig is stock for now. Figure i'll eventually mod the bumpers as they get damaged on the trail.

The seller is looking for the spanner wrenches, but I can always order a replacement set from SAWS when I send them off to get rebuilt.
