Sway bar bushing cut-out direction

Completely OCD question for the FSM bible study group... the book hints the front bushing cut-out should face front of vehicle. Because the rear of the bushing takes more strain? Easier to install that way? I dunno. However one of the diagrams shows it facing the other way. And I think they came from Japan with the cut-out facing rear. The rear bushing cut-outs are supposed to be facing down right?

For the rear sway bar bushings, the FSM says "Install the bushings to the stabilizer bar so that the cutout of the bushing face the under of the vehicle, as shown."

I'd install the fronts with the cuts towards the rear. At the extremes of front suspension travel, the swaybar gets pulled forward by the bushings, so you want the front side to be the 'strong' side.
