Sway bar end links install

I just installed Skyjacker sway bar end links this weekend, and although they were fairly easy, I have a couple of notes that can make things easier for other people.
- Douse both the top and bottom nuts of the stock links with anti-seize before attempting to remove.
- Although plenty of people have done this mod with the wheels still on, it's WAY easier with them off.
- The top nut connecting the link to the frame is in a really tight space. Loosen it a bit first, then go remove the link from the sway bar. You should now be able to twist the entire unit with your hand to get it out of the nut.
- You'll need a wrench and a vice grip to remove the nut connecting the link to the sway bar. Clamp the vice grip onto what looks like a washer between the link and the sway bar, otherwise, the entire Heim joint will twist as you attempt to remove the nut.
- I've read complaints that you need to drill out the hole on the sway bar to fit the Skyjacker bolt. Don't stress about this - you need to drill it out *maybe* a 1/16th.
– Assembly is the opposite of removal.

I also noticed what others have said about the new, longer links hitting the brake line. I moved the brake line bracket out of the way using a longer bolt and some nuts to hang it about an inch out. This didn't cause any kinks in the line, and there's still plenty of clearance to my 275/70-17 tires.

I found them at Summit Racing, and yes, they're listed as FJ links.
I also purchased a package of lube that they suggested for about $5, so the total, shipped, came to about $75.

Can you give an update as to how the end links are working out after 2 years?

oof.. well i have bad cv axles, bad valve cover gaskets, need a new panhard bar(bc of 3in lift). plus my cruise control airbag and horn just went out on my steering wheel.. so lets get talking. any suggestions or experience with these items?

When I replaced my rear end links with the 2nd gen ones, I left the vehicle on the ground. I recommend a ratcheting wrench for the top nut, but still doable with an open wrench just takes a little time.

For anyone still looking and since it's an older post. I just bought the Skyjacker SBE702 Rear Sway Bar Extended Links kit from their website for $76 plus $8 shipping. Says it's for rigs with +3" lift height . (also available on Amazon). Will get here next week.

Took me quite a while to find decently priced links compared to Dobinson's $150/pair and not have to build them myself.
Just put in an OME lift all the way around (OME883 +90021 in the front and 895e + 60004 in the rear) and got +3" up front and +2.25" in the rear. We'll see how it fits.

I'm doing a 3 inch lift this weekend. Is this a "must have" or can someone get away with stock ones? I also saw someone on youtube swapping their fronts to the rear, does this make any sense?
