trying to understand the issue here...you are correctly torquing the bolts, with a nyloc nut none the less, but they are still loosening? you make mention that you believe the issue with with the incorrect sized bolts. is the issue that you are torquing up the nut on the non threaded shoulder of the bolt, rather than the spindle? this is the only thing i can think of that a longer bolt would cause anything to loosen. since it is such a big deal to go to ace to get two bolts, if the nut is actually torquing up on the shoulder, maybe install a washer or two? just throwing out ideas here.

again, if these are so terrible, i can get you a prepaid shipping label for them at the drop of a hat.

Everything I use is grade 8 or better.

I can't make them any sooner. I'm currently in the White Mountains hiking the Appalachian Trail. I have a little under 400 miles till I'm done. Then I'll be home to take orders.

I've been pretty amazed at the reception we've been getting from the trail. We're able to post from the trail in the White Mountains of all places. It's been a trip of lifetime that's for sure.

I'll be home on the 12th, and starting back up shortly after that. I'm looking for a field monitor from a Hilux Surf. Pretty sure they're only available in Japan, and think you can find them in junk yards. I'd being willing to trade links for one if the pricing is compatible.

The surfs rarely go to junk yards around here but I can look as well as on the JP auctions. No worries about the trade as I am not sure how long it could take to find one, but once I do I will let you guys know.

I have no plans to leave here anytime soon so I should be around for a while.

They are awesome. I had a set on my 3rd gen and now my 4th.....well the rear anyways. Very much looking forward to receiving the correct bolts for the front when you return. Enjoy the hike until then.
