Swede71 Build

Was hoping for more of the project to be completed by now however shipping is taking longer than anticipated (2 days later than quoted, so a monthish late total), is what it is. Sliders installed today, and front bumper removed, just dropped off all of the lift kit to the shop except the rear shocks which are in UPS land somewhere waiting to be delivered friday, fingers crossed that they arrive tomorrow. :) Looking forward to what is completed tomorrow.

They had it up on the hoist today and started on the suspension, thinking if they don't finish the project soon I may just fall in love with this older dodge caravan they gave me as a loaner, and ask to keep it. :)

Picked it up today, looks and drives great, got a couple of things to do ie fit the Pelfreybilt bumper a little closer to the headlights and add the warn winch remote. Other than that loving it and hoping to have time to have some fun in the mountains this weekend if we do not get to much rain. :)

1st impression after the build. :)

First drive into the mountains, definitely an improvement, am pretty happy with how it drives around town and in the back yard. :) Left the city it was about 12C, and ended up with 1C and snow.

Ft of Snow Top of a Ski Hill

Went up to the top of Fortress ski hill today, they had a foot of snow yesterday, much of it melted away today, think they had 3 meters this winter which is a lot. 4Runner drove how it should and pups had a great time making friends with gophers. :)

Weekend exploring the mountains

Spent the weekend exploring the mountains between AB and BC in and near Kananaskis country, on some washed out roads that were for the most part passable. Only saw ATV's, on these trails. Very happy with how it drives now, never once felt unsafe. Will need to invest in a good air compressor shortly, would of handled the wet clay better if I had aired down, just have a mid range one for the time being for emergencies. Also be nice to have a dash switch that shows battery voltage, that will be added shortly as well.

Looks amazing! Have you found a less expensive way to ship parts to Canada?

Yes this is a really nice build.

What are those wheels?

About purchasing goodies, I take the US to CAD penalty but save on shipping cost by using a warehouse near the border. It take me one hour to get there, but saving hundred on shipping by having a US address instead of a canadian one.

So what were your final lift numbers front and back? I'm about to install my Dobinson's lift and it's supposed to be around 3", but yours looks huge at only 2.5! I know a half-inch isn't that different, but neither is 3 inches to most people until it's done.

I went with Enkei ST6, cheapest I found for rims/rubber was 1010tire.com. Going across the boarder makes sense, I do not have the time though, being I have an automotive business, a lot of what I ordered I was able to get at dealer rates, so that helped as well, or I did the group buys.
