Swing out carrier that doesn't block backup camera?

Has anyone tried to build a swing-out carrier that doesn't block the backup camera? Was looking the other day and realized the backup came is to one side of the license plate. Would seem if you did a shorter swing out arm, you could mount the tire off center, and still have the backup camera be able to see what's going on.

This seems to obvious for someone not to have thought of it xD What am I missing?

My rear tire is pretty far off to the driver's side, and it still blocks a large portion of the camera since it's so wide-angle. It's still usable though. I run a 295/70 so a smaller tire would certainly help.

When the bumper was built I asked to make camera visibility a factor, but the Rotopax still ended up right in the way lol.
