Switch-Pros SP-9100 Bluetooth App

I've been eyeing that Switch-Pros SP-9100 unit for an electrical overhaul I am planning, it looks pretty sold, but the Bluetooth app they package with it gets terrible reviews.

Looking to hear from anyone who uses it regarding its usefulness for setup and programming. I like the idea of being able to control switches when not in the drivers seat.... for example when in a tent or sleeping in the back.

If I dont do that, I will be just using a Bussmann relay/fuse block for a more traditional setup.

It is much easier using the app for programming. That being said.. it is a clunky app and is not polished. But it gets the job done. The app shouldnt be your hang up on getting the SP-9100.

My experience is with the iOS version; I can't comment on the Android version but assume it is similar.

The app works, but the UI is awkward and slow:

• The app seems to query the Switch-Pros and refresh after every step.
• Menu organization is non-intuitive.
• Programming switch options involves stepping through sequential screens using "next" buttons until reaching the desired page.

Nevertheless, it works and is easier than programming the unit using the switch panel buttons.

Once the switches are programmed, using the app to activate and deactivate connected loads is easy and trouble-free.

I haven't had any trouble with Bluetooth connections. The range is limited, but it works fine from within or nearby the vehicle.
