Switchback Reverse/Turn Combo?

I know that there is a popular mod for taking your current rear turn signals and converting them to a reverse light by using the Tail as Turn adapters. What I am interested in doing is keeping the turn signal in its current location and adding to it a reverse light function using a switchback LED. Here is an example done on a Tacoma.

That is a great idea! I have Switch Backs in the front and love them, use them as my daytime running lights with the factory daytimes disabled

I have almost been rear ended multiple times backing up, the reverse lights suck. Just installed the $90 bulbs from Diode Dynamics and they are a HUGE improvement but adding more light with this option would be great for getting the attention of idiots

Looks simple enough. It would be nice to hear some reviews from others before spending $50 on bulbs.

Edit: Looks like that price is a 2 pack, so not $50.

mach_4R on instagram did this. He used a amber/white switchback bulb with one wire tapping into your reverse wire, and one for your regular tour signal.

I'm not very experienced in this kind of stuff so I would suggest asking him for help.
