Switches for lights and such..

All,
Anyone ever use Daystar Rocker switches before? I understand that they're supposed to be pretty good. I have heard that they tend to run warm. but that could be for a variety of reasons..

There is also another brand called Dorman.. they're a bit less expensive but feel cheap. I found them on a pegboard at the local auto parts shop. I believe both switches will handle about 25-30 amps.

I haven't run either. However I will say that I would never consider running anything over 10 amps through a switch. I run carling switches from OTRATTW and they have always worked well for me.

Exactly. That's why they make relays.

Yup what he said, and I'm also running the OTRATTW switches and love them. Look good, work great.

A rocker switch. And relay will do the job.

Sorry for the late reply... but my Notification didn't notify me.. I will have a look at those switches you folks mentioned...My circuit that i am working on does have a relay inline.. so thats a good thing.
In the meantime it's time to check my Notification settings again.

**update.... Thanks for the heads up on these switches.... Gonna put in an order and hopefully will be here shortly. They actually look like they will fit in the 3rd gen 4 runner spare switch cluster.
