Sylvania 194 LEDs

In my opinion I wouldn't waste the money on those. I bought 2 sets of these for my 4runner and there were enough leftover to outfit the wife's rav4 as well.

Buy in bigger numbers and pay attention to the LED type as there are a good number of SMD LEDs out there now and there are vast differences. These lights are very bright. I removed the SMD load resistors (right at the main connection) because the CANBUS system doesn't look for lights burnt out in the map lights or mirrors so there's no sense in drawing the extra current and turning it into heat.

Those have the 5730 LED chips on them and are much brighter than the more common 5050.

Not sure how precise this chart is but it's a quick comparison chart of common SMD LED chips:

I looked at those but didn't buy any.

I went with the JDM Astar. I don't have them in my 4Runner yet, but I'm using them in my camper. I do have the 1000lm 921 in my backup socket and they are amazing. I also have what ever size went into the cargo area ... again amazing :D

I've certainly had good luck with JDM Astar in the past. One thing to keep in mind about some of these bulbs is that many of them are cranked out of the same Chinese factory with little to no difference. For example, I had these in my last truck's reverse lamps:

They were awesome bulbs, but I still needed some more for the bed lights when I came across these:

Seemed to be the exact same bulb as the JDM Astar, and I couldn't tell a difference between them in terms of construction and performance. I now have the same for my 4Runner's reverse lights and they work well.

Another thing to think about is that in some applications, it's not ideal (in my opinion of course) to have a blindingly bright light. Maybe you just want a bit more light and it to be cooler in temp (map lights, vanity lights, door lights, license plate lights, etc). I've found that these work well for something like that:

On the other hand, lights like reverse, back hatch, and maybe dome it's good to put out lots of light in order to cover a large area.

The only bulbs I still need to figure out are the puddle lamps. I would like them to be plenty bright, but reliability is the most important aspect for me since they're not the easiest to swap out. I'm thinking maybe Philips or Diode Dynamics for those.
