well i got them through live.com and it says it came from ebay, so i guess ebay. i have a pair of Hipro light bulbs that are supposibly 5900k, but are a little darker than that, i just wanna get rid of the other new pair.
 
i put my luminics pure blues back in today just for a change and i guess they are not that bad. hopefully when the texon in the 4runner review comes up soon i might swap to those, i just need something a little more whiter and not as blue.
 
The Texon's are definitely not as bright as the Silverstar Ultra's of course, but they do have a really cool blue tint that stands out on the road. And for only $15, they are pretty damn good.. I used them for a few weeks when I took my HID's out of my 02 4Runner. My girlfriend has them in her integra for high & low beams.. I ride with her all the time and she can see great. My dad has them in his truck for his low beams & fogs and I haven't heard any complaints from him yet. No problems with them dying either..
 
yea i know there is no way in hell it will be as bright as silverstars, just need a little brighter/whiter then the luminics.

my 4runner does look sick though with the pure blues in headlights and nokya hyper yellows in the fogs :bigok:

i will defiantly be in the near future since Christmas is coming up and i'll be going to my parents to get ahold of their digital camera. hopefully then to i'll have a few more goodies on the runner :bigok:

i got my Hi-lites yesterday and i put them on. i really like them. they are not too blue or to white. i will post a pic later wen it get darker. but i would like to see a pic of the texon lights:D
 
I have the Sylvania Silverstars and I love them! they arent the ULTRAs but i dont even care. i drive on dark roads all the time and they do an amazing job.
 
where is the guy with the 4runner and texon lights? i was gettin in to this post, goin from page to page, thinking "this is exactly what im wondering, and then the post ended without his opinion! haha! does anyone know if i should disable my drl with aftermarket lights??

You don't have to disable your DRL's, but I would.

Do you have any info on your rims or any pictures?

i burned though a pair of Sylvanias after about 5 months, then a set of piaas after another 5 months.... and they were most likely burning out because of the drl's

i would disable them imo
 
ya that sounds like a good idea, i know piaa's arn't cheap either.
but ya, i had to do some major searching for those
rims, im in utah and there are like 5 yota dealerships
but i found them at the one in salt lake. They didn't ask
for a vin for an fj or anything. Most of the places i called said
the black ones were discontinued. im excited though
there gonna be here at the end of week. They were $150 a piece.
now i just have to decide on tires.

by the way how did you like the piaa bulbs? is it worth the money? im trying to limit my light housing turning all blue when my lights are off. I duno, i dont really like that but we'll see.
 
I have the silverstar ultras. They lasted me exactly one year (using during day also), or roughly 20K miles. My ultra fogs lasted about three months. i took those back and they gave me some more. The new fogs (also ultras) lasted me about 5 months.

I just replaced the headlights with new silverstar ultras and the fogs with a new superwhite phillips product. It's supposed to last, and looks good. We'll see.

Thats cool yours lasted that long. those lights look pretty good too, has anyone flashed you for them being to bright? thanks for the pics, has anyone else had them last this long without disabling your drl's?
