System Installation

I'm about to buy new components, new 3 channel amp, and a new subwoofer. Does anyone have an installation FAQ for any of those 3? I'm thinking about doing it myself and saving the $150 or more $$.

This is my first car and I do not know too much about car audio or anything. I'm not 100% electrically retarded, I can build a computer, but thats probably as complicated as I have gone, Would you guys recommend me to go to a shop or just try to do i myself?

If you have the time and patience to learn, do it yourself. If you can build a computer, you can hook up your system.
