I am having a problem problem where the entire left front channel in my system is cutting out. The problem started out slowly...seemed like it would stay on for 20 or 30 minutes and then it would cut out. It would stay off unless I turned the radio up quite a bit. It would then go off again when I turned it back down. If I turned it off for a while it would repeat that same symptoms upon turning it back on.
Recently, the problem has become more consistent. It'll stay on for 5 minutes or so and then cuts out. That said, when it is on, the speakers sound fine.
My system consists of the following components:
Head Unit - Pioneer AVID D3
Speakers - Infinity Kappa 6.5 Components (front and rear)
Amp - Infinity 4x75
Sub - Pioneer 10"
Sub Amp - Infinity
Amp Power Supply - Dedicated 0 gauge leads to the battery
Tonight I tried bypassing my amp and cross-overs by reconnecting my factory front speakers to the radio using the original radio harness and wiring (thinking the problem was with the radio) and it works fine.
Even though the radio seems to be working fine on the factory speakers, is it possible that the problem is still in the radio - with the pre amp signal? Any suggestions for troubleshooting the problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Chris
