This is the top mounting point of the bullbar. the bracket goes through the back of the lower grill and out through the front where it meets the mounting tab on the bar. this is on the driver's side.

this is the inside of the hood where the top bracket mounts to the frame behind the bumper. (hood open) there will be a rubber flap you will need to remove in order to reveal this mounting point. i chose not to put the flap back on when i was finished.

the rubber flap attaches at two places. the bottom of it actually attaches to this mounting point. this is a closer shot of the bracket mounted to the frame.

good luck to all of you who plan on installing this guard yourselves. remember to be careful not to sratch you bumper when trying to fit the guard and it's brackets. it takes TWO people. the clearance on the bottom of the bumper is what you have to especially watch for. if you want to be safe......tape up the two sides of the bottom with painter's tape, AND the sides of the lower grill because the top brackets might rub against the sides whil you are trying to put them on. good luck!

P.S. Noloc, as you can see......the tow hooks are not in the way at all.

Wow! Looks great. Thanks for the info. That is the same bar I am planning on getting.

Out of curiosity - How does the addition of one of these affect your safety systems in an accident?

As soon as it arrives I think I'm going to try and mount it myself. Based on the pictures above it doesn't seem like it's going to take that much effort. Now, if only the warehouse that's shipping my Bull Bar would get off their @!$# and ship it already. (Supposedly shipped last thursday, called today and it didn't really ship, put on my pissed off customer voice, and it's shipping today.)

noloc, it took me 45-60 min for BOTH the front and the rear. the rear was even easier. get another person to help you and you'll be fine! it took longer to tear apart the shipping material than to install the guard itself (you'll see why) :p

answers to FAQ's about T&H bullbar:

they have mounting tabs for auxillary lights on the lower bar.

the best place to get them so far is from autoseattle.com or autoanything.com. autoanything has free shipping.

they come in chrome or black

the lower bar does block the front plate, so if you have jerks as cops in your area....beware. i haven't been bothered by cops yet.

the pictures on autoseattle show the bullbar with a black badge on the lower bar.....the badge does not come with it.

more questions? post here! :)

as of now...no......i'm starting to notice swirls on it so i will treat it with something soon. if you see "rust build up" (usually near bolts and endcaps) it's not your bar corroding, you can easily clean it with a steel wool pad. this only applies to the chrome bars. i do not know about the black bars.

Why, when Noloc said AutoAnything.com has free shipping? Just clarifying because I will shortly be ordering from one of them. Maybe I should negotiate with each.

BTW Trance, thanks for all your insight. You have definitely contributed more than anyone else with T&H. It has been a big help.
