T4r.com. Annoying new popup ads on iphone past few weeks.

Oh my god I thought I was the only one, yeah that shit is a drag. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Mods, can we please look into that garbage!
 
I seem to fit the pattern noted on other thread.

Iphone 7+ safari, recently updated, no tapatalk.

Native popup block enabled.

Only t4r, one of perhaps 20 sites i frequent.
 
I get it too on my iPhone 8+, been ignoring it, but I do get it on a couple other sites so I assumed it was something else.
 
Does it to me on my iphoneX. Lol, it popped up while I was reading this thread. My wife was away on a work trip last week and I had used my phone to visit some sites that provided specific entertainment related videos and thought my phone had gotten a virus or something.
 
Settings -> Safari -> Content Blockers -> (Turn on AdBlocker and Purify)

There may be others... I installed those two along time ago. Recently I had them turned off to allow 'ad revenue' for sites I visit, but the 'amazon pop-up' spam, which I don't even think is from amazon made me turn them back on.

Did this already and it didn’t work. I only get these on this site too.
 
I haven’t been able to get in here long enough on my phone without the pop up to post anything til tonight.
 
I was getting this pop up nearly every time I opened any website on safari. Had pop-up blocker on, followed all the instructions online, reset my phone, the works... still got the pop-up.

Then I read that some 3rd party apps can have adware built into their coding. I deleted any apps from non-reputable sources off my phone and I haven’t had a pop-up since. I had a bunch of random ones I’d downloaded over time so I guess one of them must have been bugged.
 
Yes! So sick of this. It’s not exclusive to this forum but it happens to me predominantly on this site. Tried all the above fixes and others, apple tech support forum has lots of cases of it.
 
YES!! I spent two days messing with my phone over this. Thought it was the phone then realized its only on this forum. Started using TapTalk app instead - which is kinda nice!
