T4R Front Shock Replacement

I'm trying to swap shocks between my '89 pickup (newer Bilstein)and new '89 4R(saggy OEM). Was able to swap the rears without any hassles and found that i didn't need a jack. Now i want to swap the fronts but can't seem to figure out how to loosen the bottom bolt. The nut is impossible to reach from the back with any tool that i have...does anyone have any good ideas for solving this with using pneumatic tools? I am working without a lift so is there anything that i need to be aware of concerning safety? Do i need to jack up the truck? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.....

bolt backwards

The older shock bolt is in backwards- It is still removable from the front of the vehicle.
In order to easily remove the shock the wheel must be removed to gain access. no other lift is needed. Just the top bolt- use a pipe wrench to stop the shock form turning. then remove the bottom bolt. Easy job.

bolts stuck

I took off the wheels and used wd40, cranked like hell and couldn't budge the bolts....I used a cheater bar and all. The socket wanted to hop off the bolt on the back of the old set....may have to give up.
