thats what happens when you stick a hid kit in a headlight meant for halogen bulbs

no need for that. HID kits work just fine in the stock housing.

thanks, i'll give it a shot.

Yeah that should get you what you need. i have the DDM kit and i just redid my headlight adjustment. the 10mm one on the bottom will adjust the beam up and down and the top one will get you the side to side adjustment

:thumb3:

haha I just installed some myself and want to do this too... good timing!
just curious phatboi what HID kit do you have?

Whats the actual height and distance between beams if your truck is lifted? Or even at stock height?

its stock height but its aimed too high still. i tried those methods and they didnt do much, would i be able to stick rubber washer in where the angle screw is to aim it lower at all?

I'm not sure how your bulbs look but did the look anything like this...? (minus the pastic covers)

if not the metal thing in this pic is a shield that comes with the DDM kit. From what i have heard on here it blocks the light from the bulb from shining on the lower part of the reflection housing which causes a lot of the glare. You may be able to fab something up like that?

Im still trying to find these adjustment screws lol! I haven't been flashed yet but lastnight coming home i pulled up on this guy and could clearly see his bald head! he didn't adjust his mirror or anything so im still not sure if im annoying or not. i just wanna adjust it a little to be safe

yeah they look the same as the but the reflector is under the light and not over i thought the shield would be ontop of the HID when i put it in but it turns out it doesnt and it only fits one way.

yeah that threw me off too haha but i guess cause its more flat on the bottom causing the light to bounce up. Dang im stumped though, do you have a 35watt or 55 watt kit?
