T4Ranger's Build

Nice suspension!

Initially, Fronts went from 34 to 38.0" rear went from 36.75" to 38.5"... I'm sure it will settle at least .25" lower all around after a few weeks.

OP, your build is coming together nicely! I'm totally loving this suspension. What rear springs did you go with? Looking forward to your update with settling height and some off-road time. Subscribed!

Before and after...

Included a free scratch on my steering wheel, compliments of the service tech.

You need to get your alignment redone. Those aren't good numbers unless you have the coilovers maxed out. Might be time for UCAs otherwise.

Am I the only one who couldn't care less how the truck looks with a BP51 system? Lift is lift as far as appearance. How about some feedback on performance, specifically off road, and how was the on road handling affected?

If you could care less, that means you care and you have a while to go before you could not care. If you couldn't care less that would mean you've maxed out the amount of not caring you have...

That aside... OP: I too would like to know about performance. Is this specific for the 4Runner? Or is it the FJ set?

If everything is within the mfr tolerances why wouldn't these be good numbers? You're never going to have a perfect alignment. I'd be interested to hear what you think are good numbers and what expertise you have with alignments.

It handles just fine on road, again i have kdss so the response is great. I haven't had a free day to go off road yet, hoping to do some offroad this coming weekend.

Thanks for the on-road handling update!

You said that the remote reservoir bracket interfered with the KDSS system. Did you know this was an issue before installing? Reason I ask is Toytec sold me the system stating there are no issues with installation at all.

I did NOT know this was an issue before purchasing and I was told the same thing, that there wouldn't be an issue. I spoke with Dillon and sent him pics of the driver side bracket and he said he'd look into a fix for it. That was last week... I'll follow up with him sometime this week.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have been in contact with ARB Techs and they said there were figment issues that they were working on and this is why ARB did not release the part number to include the 4Runner yet on their website. Just thought I would let you know!

Your caster is not in spec so you are OUTSIDE of the mfr tolerances. Don't need to be an expert to see red vs green.

Most people with around a 2 inch lift have no problems being within spec on all aspects and some on the higher end of caster, which will make the truck be more stable and less apt to wander on the road.

I am within spec but on the lower end of caster and it wanders alot on the highway. When I get my LT done I will shoot for around 4 degrees of caster.

Thanks Captain obvious... I'm not worried about caster... all I care about is camber and toe for tire wear... and this suspension created over 4" of lift... .9 is t too bad and i dont wander on the highway...
