River crossing was on my Bucket List, and although not too deep still very cool.

I wanted to spend more time up there, but I was expecting a very important phone call and needed to stay in an area with reception.

On the way back to FL I explored parts of SW Georgia, found some clay, almost hit a deer (inches) and ended up in Alabama just to get some food! Wherever I was i put in the nearest Taco Bell in the GPS and with out paying attention just drove there and all of a sudden saw a sign for AL!

Found some trails in FL I never new about...

haha, I did the same thing! I was going to Tenn from Georgia & ended up in Alabama! I was supposed to stay to the right but must have bared left. It was dark, around midnight, 2002..no GPS. :becky:
So I can say I was in the State of Alabama even if it was only for 10 min.

Well, That's what I call heading for the border. Yo quiero taco bell! :hungry:

Great pics man. Whenever I see your pics, it reminds me of riding three-wheelers in Florida.

for the short period of time you've had your 4R, you've done tons of fun stuff with it. im jealous. Ill still in the process of getting all the maintenance done.

Yes, when I had my previous project I was on a tight budget, so a slow build. Ever since buying this 4runner I had gotten a new job making good money :)

Just an update on my 4runner:

New job has me away from home for about a month at a time and then home for a few days. last post was the last time prior to this week i drove it. i was having power steering issues and noisy belts and idler pulley, so i had a shop i trust do the work, they replaced all 3 drive belts, new PS pump and recharged my a/c since it hasn't been cold for the past year or so.

Here's some current pics...

So i cracked one of my tail lights (still works), need a u-joint for the rear driveshaft and apparently need a new steering rack. i found a gash in the boot on the rack and PS fluid is leaking out, which would mean the seal is bad.

So while i'm working i'll be ordering some parts so i have them next time i come home. i am also considering doing some mods while i get that repaired, like some skids and new rack and sway bar bushings.
