Hello Guys and Gals,

Wow, we made it through all the gens are were still here so lets do it again.

So 1st gens only, maybe Trekkers too :D

As always, ONE nomination per member and just to be clear a nomination can be: a member nomination another member, a member seconding someone elses nomination OR a member nominating themselves. All are OK as long as you only do ONE. If your the first person to nominate a member please post a picture and link to their build thread.

Happy nominating!

I'll open this month's nominations with a nod to Pyroboy's sweet rig. It's loaded with lots of great mods on top of some skilled restoration work. Great build! See under "Long Term Build" in the Classics section.

I've been through a dozen or so pages on the 1st gen thread. There are very little if any build threads. Lots of great looking trucks, but how do we determine if they are an active member or not? Short of looking at their last post date on their profile?

You have a good point. There are a handful of active members here with the 1st gens but only a few of us actually have a build thread.

KidVermicious has a pretty cool 1st gen too but I don't think he has a build thread.

I'm sensing a decided lack of interest--5th of the month and only two nominations? Whazzup, fellas? I could nominate some more, but that's not allowed...and shouldn't be necessary anyway with all the great 1st Gens out there.

Lots of folks never get out of their own gen's subforum.

TRDCal, maybe you could talk a moderator into making these threads an announcement that posts at the top of each subforum? Might get more activity that way.

Yah, I'll see what I can do about an annoucement thread.

However, I have an idea that one of our fellow members came up with which I kind of like and might help this issue....Obviously we'll continue this month as is and it doesn't even have to start next month, just an idea for future T4ROTM.

Instead of having generation specific months, how about MOD specific months. As an example...You'd have an aftermarket roof rack month. So you could nominate any gen 4runner as long as it has an aftermarket roof rack. Or it could be big tire month so you'd only be aloud to nominate 4runners with big tires.

The theory behind it is that it might spark some more inter-mingling between generations

Please post your opinion and let us know what you think.

I agree that you shouldn't have too, but I might be alittle more lenient on the whole one nomination per member since their tends to be less traffic in the classics subforum. We'll see how it goes.

I like every generation of the 4Runner. Are you still going to do a "4Runner Of The Year" competition and take past winners of each generation and pit them head to head?
