Tachometer bubbles

Hello all,
when i bought my 2000 4x4 v6 it came with some odd bubbles on the tachometer display, they don't seem to be getting any worse, but i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

I'm thinking of maybe getting some white tacoma gauges as they are in my work truck and i quite like the look. does anyone know how involved the swapping process is and how much they might cost from a wrecker?

Does anyone know if you can buy the clear plastic cover. Mine has a few spots on it from overuse of the Aerospace 303 protectan on the dash. Apparently it will etch the plastic cover if you are not careful.

i know the older 3rd gens show about double the price for some reason.
