Taco bumper on 4runner?

So my question is about using a 1998 tacoma rear bumper on my 1998 4runner limited. Do they fit????? Just curious...
I'm looking to use a cheap junk bumper in order to pull small loads, not looking on spending too terribly much and if I could get away with something else I wouldn't mind any other solutions. My chevy just isn't ready to be driven so looking for a short term solution.
The load is a small motorcycle and a 4x7 open top trailer.

I don't think it would fit unless you made custom brackets.

I thought all 4Runner have tow hitches? If not just raid your local junk yard, you'll find one.

I don't think you can swap between Tacomas and 4Runners like you could like the old Pickups and 4Runners. The old ones have the same frame, parts, engine, etc.

Not mine. The intention of this vehicle originally was to have a receiver installed for pulling around snowmobiles but then said snowmobiles were sold...

I would raid the local yard to find one but the fort problem is finding a 4runmer in the junk yard.. Second would be removing it due to the fact that the torque specs on most receivers combined with rust and lack of being able to use power tools in a junk yard would make removing it a PITA... But I may swing down there with a breaker bar and socke set to see what kinda trouble I can get myself into

Easy! Get some PB blaster or even wd-40, a long breaker bar and a 17mm socket. (Or is it 19mm?) Go to town on 7 of the 8 bolts. Insert the handle end of the bar into the exhaust to bend it out of the way for the 8th bolt, which is covered by the exhaust exit piping. Maybe post up in your local regionals? See if anyone has upgraded to a rear bumper and still has their hitch lying around. I bet you could even find a member who would sell you one very cheap if you covered shipping.

Add a propane torch to the list. I just picked one up from Home Depot for $30. Heat + Torque > Rust

MAPP gas, much hotter. Also get a quality ratchet strap and hook it to the breaker bar and attach to the frame towards the nose of the truck. Put some good tension on it and kick that breaker bar like it owes you money.

A trailer hitch is like $115 online if I recall correctly if you shop around. Just saying.

Good luck finding mapp gas anymore. Map-pro is the replacement, and is a mixture of propane and propylene. It is also not cost effective for the garage mechanic. Map-pro isnt even favored for plumbers when sweating in fittings, its not significantly hotter enough.
Propane torches work just fine, and always have for me.
Edit: also, fun fact: the factory that produced map-pro issued a recall a few years ago for over 20 million bottles.
