Tacoma coils with 4runner Struts

Does anyone know of an issue using 2020 Tacoma TRD 4x4 front coils and eibach struts that are made for the 4runner?

I picked up a take off suspension from a 3rd gen Tacoma and installed it on my 4runner. Height was perfect but the ride left something to be desired for me, possibly because the shocks aren't valved for the 4runner. Swapped out the suspension for a complete eibach pro truck lift for the 4runner and the ride is great, but gave too much lift for what I wanted. My solution I was thinking about was using the Tacoma front coils with the eibach struts/shocks unless someone knows there will be a compatibility issue between the parts.

Bump. No one has tried using a 4runner strut with a Tacoma coil?

I haven't tried it myself, but I'm going to say it will probably work as long the coil has the same style ends. I'm pretty sure the eibach pro-truck springs use the factory style coil ends. The factory coils have one side closed/squared/ground and the other side open ended

For example, dobinson front shocks and springs for the Tacoma and 4runner use the same part numbers. Their coils have the same factory style coil ends, so they work same same on both models

Thanks for the response.

Yes, the coils look the exact same, I just wasn't sure if the inner diameter was the same (without disassembly and measuring). The shock bodies on the front struts for the Tacomas are noticeably slimmer that the ones for the 4runner. This is why I was wondering if the two were interchangeable.

If the Dobinsons shows the same part number, then maybe it's safe to assume that Toyota uses the same size coils on both with the exception of ride height.
