Tacoma Swap - What rear springs?

i've had a nearly new TRD Off road 4wd suspension sitting in my garage far to long. Questions is what do I do for rear springs?

2006 Sport 4wd w/165,xxx on the clock. With FJ parts being harder to find on the used market, I'm thinking of a new rear spring. If I've read correct the Moog FJ rear springs don't fit properly correct? What's the next option other than ordering the facotry rear FJ's from Toyota? They look to be almost $200 for the pair. I might as well sell the parts I have then and just buy a real aftermarket kit.

The moog fj rear springs fit fine on my 05.

I can tell you that using the 1.5 spacer with stock springs doesn't ride as well as I would have hoped. I have the Tacoma shocks on all 4 corners with Tacoma TRD offroad springs in the front. I am not that happy with the height and how the rear rides. I am planning to eventually get 2" lift springs for the rear...brand TBD.

I'd suggest either FJ springs, or longer shocks and Toytec SuperFlex coils.

If it's just the taco springs with no additional lifts (5100). Just stick with the rear stock springs. FJs are not worth the money. You'll gain roughly an inch or so with the taco front springs. Gone_Primal is right about spacers in the rear. I took mine off because it hop like crazy. FJs rear springs gave little if anything in lift. Good luck!

My springs must have been worn out. My truck went from 8" to 9.5" with fj springs

That could be the case. I didn't see any changes on mine.

I have 2014 taco front coils with 5100's all around. I first went with fj rear springs with 1.5 spacer. Didn't like the height, gave me a reverse rake with front at 1.75 setting. I then changed out the rear coils with supflexes. Now sits way better. Rear a little higher than front, also rides way better.

How many miles did you have when you swapped? My rears have 165k.

I have the complete TRD off-road suspension ready to swap, just need to decide if I should do the rear springs or not while I'm doing it....

With the taco front springs it'll give you a lessor rake. I had 120k on the original springs. If you get other springs that give you more lift. You'll need to upgrade the shocks too because it will extend the stock shock to its limit. Keep in mind any more lift in the rears will give you more rake look. It's easy to swap the rear springs so just go for it and see if you like it.

I measured my ride height before installing the Tacoma springs and shocks and I picked up 2" in the front! Although, I'd like to keep an eye on it as it may settle a little. I have a 4x4 v6 sr5.the truck looks like it sits perfectly level but at some angles because of the running boards it looks a little nose high. I just bought some fj springs to go on the back so I'm hoping they'll give me 1/2" or so to bring a little bit of take back. For $200 for everything, I don't think it can be beat as far as performance for the $$$$
